Join us at CampusGroups Virtual Rendez-Vous 2021!

We're thrilled to announce our first CampusGroups User Community conference: CampusGroups Rendez-Vous! This exciting one-day virtual event will be held on Friday, March 12th.

What to expect:

  • Discuss best practices and network with administrators at fellow CampusGroups member campuses
  • Hear from & connect with campus leaders around the world at spotlight sessions and discussion panels 
  • Participate in interactive workshops and breakout sessions
  • Share tips & gather great ideas to optimize your platform and data management practices
  • Learn more about recent developments and our future roadmap
  • Help to drive product direction by sharing your feedback, thoughts & ideas

She attended Southern Connecticut State University (BA, History) and George Mason University (MAIS, Higher Education).

Birgit Debeerst is the Director for UL Project and Process Management at George Mason University, where she leads a team experienced in project management, process management and design thinking. She has been a part of George Mason University for 10 years. She studied and worked in several countries, including Belgium, The Netherlands, United Kingdom and South Korea before moving to the US.  She holds a master’s degree in Korean Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London (UK), and a bachelor’s degree in Japanese Studies from Leuven University (Belgium). One of Birgit’s interests is using journey mapping to improve the student experience.

Originally from Upstate NY, Giovanna also went to Binghamton University, graduating in 2017 with a dual-BA in English Literature & Rhetoric and Political Science. She has held a range of marketing positions over the years, harnessing her passion for writing, social media, communications and people! Outside of work, she enjoys supporting local restaurants, learning from political podcasts, strolling through Barnes & Noble and laughing at memes on Instagram.

Frances has worked as the Student Engagement Specialist at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology in Thuwal, Saudi Arabia, since 2014. She has over ten years of experience working in Student Affairs. In her current role, Frances looks after the campuses student-led groups, mentors the student council, and leads all student communications. She also plays a significant role in Orientation, Commencement, and other major university events. Frances was the lead in the implementation of Campus Groups at KAUST and is now the ‘champion’ of the platform at KAUST.

Chelsea Alterman is the Assistant Director of Student Development at Macaulay Honors College. In her role, she oversees and advises student organizations, student government, and student events. These efforts intend to foster social-emotional and leadership development among student leaders and a strong sense of belonging and inter-campus community among the larger Macaulay Honors College student population. 

Chelsea earned a M.S. in Higher Education Administration from Baruch College and​ a B.A. in Media Studies from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College. Prior to working at Macaulay, Chelsea worked at New York City College of Technology within the college access programs of ASAP (Accelerated Study in Associate Programs) and Math Start. She has also worked at Jumpstart, an early education non-profit.
